Collect your follow-up lab sample on the morning you take your medication, but before you take it. For testosterone injections, collect the sample on your injection day, but before you inject.

Important Collection Tips

• Fasting: Do not eat for at least 8 hours before collecting your sample, but drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
• Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise, sexual activity, and riding a bicycle, motorcycle/ATV, or horse for 2-3 days beforehand.

• Testosterone Cream (once daily, in the morning): Collect your sample as late in the evening as possible.

• Testosterone Cream (twice daily): Collect your sample 12-16 hours after application (usually in the AM before the next application).

• Testosterone Troches (once daily, in the morning): Collect your sample 8-12 hours after ingestion (in the evening).

• Testosterone Troches (twice daily): Collect your sample prior to ingestion (in the morning).
