Common Reasons for Lab Sample Rejection and How to Avoid Them Follow
Occasionally, our labs may be unable to process your sample accurately or provide complete results. This is typically due to insufficient blood or missing essential information (such as your name, date of birth, or collection date).
Here are the most common reasons for lab sample rejection:
-
Insufficient Sample Size
If there is not enough blood or serum in your sample, the lab will be unable to perform the necessary tests. -
Missing ID
If the name and date of birth on your sample do not match the information you provided when registering your lab panel, the lab cannot process your order. -
Not Registered
If you send back your lab panel without registering it online, the lab will be unable to process your sample. If you've already mailed your sample before completing the registration, please contact support@honehealth.com immediately for assistance. -
Damaged Sample
Your sample could be damaged during collection or transit. A common issue is "hemolysis," the breakdown of red blood cells, which often occurs when too much pressure is applied while collecting the sample. Be gentle when collecting your sample to avoid this.
If your sample is rejected, we will contact you promptly to help get you back on track.
